Arthur Mahler
Arthur Mahler (born August 1, 1871 in Prague , † May 2, 1916 in Vienna ) was a Bohemian- Austrian art historian , classical archaeologist and politician.
After graduating from high school in Prague, Mahler studied art history and archeology at the universities of Prague and Vienna . In Prague he became a member of the Barissa Jewish-Academic Association . In 1902 he became a private lecturer at the German Karl Ferdinand University in Prague. He also gave a series of lectures at the American School for Archeology in Rome . He was a staunch Zionist . Mahler was also a member of the House of Representatives for the Jewish National Party between 1907 and 1911 .
