Arthur von Strachwitz

Arthur Graf Strachwitz von Groß-Zauche and Camminetz (born January 7, 1833 in Kamienietz; † December 12, 1895 there ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

His parents were Count Ernst Karl von Strachwitz (* January 16, 1799 - July 15, 1869) and his wife, Freiin Mathilde von Erstenberg zum Fryenthurm (* December 3, 1803 - February 13, 1878).

Arthur von Strachwitz studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . 1853 Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After graduating, he became a Prussian first lieutenant. From 1870 to 1884 he was District Administrator of the district Tost-Gleiwitz . Until his death he lived on Gut Kamienietz in Upper Silesia.

He married Countess Melanie von Hohenthal on May 5, 1860 (born January 8, 1840). The couple had several children:
