Arto Aas (born June 9, 1980 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian politician . He belongs to the liberal reform party . Aas was Minister of Public Administration of the Republic of Estonia from April 9, 2015 to November 23, 2016.

Life

Arto Aas attended Gustav Adolf Gymnasium from 1986 to 1992 and the secondary school in Tallinn from 1992 to 1998. He then studied administrative science at the Tallinn University of Technology until 2003 .

politics

In 1998 Aas joined the liberal reform party. From 1999 to 2001 Aas was an advisor for the Liberal Group on Tallinn City Council. In 2001/2002 he was an advisor to the Deputy Mayor of Tallinn.

From 2002 to 2007 Aas worked as an election campaign manager for the Reform Party. Subsequently, until 2011 he was the office manager of Prime Minister Andrus Ansip in the Estonian State Chancellery.

In 2011 Aas was elected as a member of the Estonian Parliament ( Riigikogu ). He was there u. a. Chairman of the Economic Committee and the Committee on European Union Affairs.

From April 9, 2015 to November 23, 2016, Arto Aas was in the cabinet of Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas, Minister for Public Administration of the Republic of Estonia. He then returned as a member of the Estonian Parliament.
