Artur Rudsyzkyj

Artur Jossypowytsch Rudsyzkyj ( Ukrainian Артур Йосипович Рудзицький ; born June 14, 1968 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian literary historian and art historian . He is a grandson of WN Wejsblatt (1882–1945) and great grandson of the photo surrealist Man Ray (Emmanuel Rudzitsky) .

life and work

At the age of 14, Rudsitzki began to write for the magazine “The Art of Southern Russia” and in 1992 he wrote a monograph on Emil Preetorius . He also wrote about I.-L.Peretz (1994) and articles in Russian and Ukrainian encyclopedias. About 200 articles were written about J. Mezhenko , P. Tychyna , Bruno Schultz, EM Lilien , Lorka Massine , Taras Schewtschenko , Abraham Mintchine , Felix Nussbaum , Pawel Tchelischeff , Anna Staritsky . Rudsitzki lived in Warsaw in 1990, in Prague in 1996 and in Germany in 2002. He returned to Kiev in 2004 and is president of the Ukrainian Association of Publishers and Distributors of the Press (UAPPD).
