Arturo Correa (actor)

Arturo Correa (born April 17, 1924 in Mameyes , † February 16, 1988 in Fajardo ) was a Puerto Rican actor, film director and producer.

Correa studied with Leopoldo Santiago Lavandero in the acting department of the University of Puerto Rico . From 1945 he worked for the radio station WKAQ , where he participated in numerous soaps and, among other things, had the leading role in the series Las aventuras de Tarzán . He later trained in television directing and production at the CBS Academy in New York. He worked for Puerto Rican television for some time and then went to Mexico. There he completed his acting training with Andrés Soler and made his debut in 1956 in José Díaz Morales ' film Esposas infieles alongside Kitty De Hoyos , Columba Domínguez , Verónica Becker , Armando Calvo , Rafael Banquells and Eduardo Alcaraz . Along with Blanquita Castejón , Fernando Cortés and Mapy Cortés , he became one of the most successful Puerto Rican actors in Mexican cinema in the following years. Since the mid-1960s he worked as an actor, director and producer to promote the film in Puerto Rico.
