Arturo Rossato

Arturo Rossato (* 1882 in Vicenza , † 1942 in Milan ) was an Italian journalist, playwright, poet and librettist.

Rossato was editor of the newspapers Popolo d'Italia and Secolo-Sera . He wrote comedies partly in the Venetian dialect, of which Nina no far la stupida (1922) and La biondina in gondoleta (1926) - both in collaboration with Gian Capo - had some success. His opera libretti were a. a. Set to music by Riccardo Zandonai ( Giulietta e Romeo , I cavalieri di Ekebù ), Franco Alfano ( Madonna Imperia ) and Francisco Mignone ( L'innocente ).
