Arun Shenoy (born April 30, 1978 in Manipal , Karnataka ) is an Indian musician and record producer living in Singapore .

biography

Arun Shenoy went to school in Bangalore and attended St Josephs Arts and Science College. From 1995 to 1999 he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Manipal Institute of Technology. He then worked for IBM, among others, before moving to Singapore National University in 2003 to take up a master's degree.

Shenoy settled in Singapore and turned to music. He founded his own production label and produced the debut EP for US rock singer Tanadra and the debut album for the band Kalinga. He also recorded his own music. His first project was an album in which he mixed Spanish gypsy rumba (rumba flamenco) with rock and other genres. In 2010 the EP Sol was released and two years later the album Rumbadoodle with instrumental guitar pieces . It was nominated for an award in the Best Instrumental Album - Pop category at the 2013 Grammy Awards .
