As-Salih Muhammad III. ( Arabic الصالح ناصر الدين محمد بن ططر, DMG aṣ-Ṣāliḥ Nāṣir ad-Dīn Muḥammad b. Ṭaṭar ; born around 1411 ; died 1430 ) was Sultan of the Mamluks in Egypt from November 1421 to April 1422.

As-Salih Muhammad III. was about 10 years old when he was appointed to succeed his seriously ill father, Sultan az-Zahir Tatar , on November 28, 1421 , who died two days later.

Shortly after his accession to the throne, a conflict broke out between three groups of emirs: the largest group was allied with the sultan's Mamluks, the emirs Barsbay and Tarabay were against the new sultan, and a third group of emirs remained neutral but soon joined forces Barsbay and Taribay. These two were able to control the government so soon, Barsbay was appointed regent and Taribay the military commander in chief. A revolt by the Viceroy of Aleppo was put down and several emirs were imprisoned. But soon there was a conflict between the two most powerful men in the empire, in which Barsbay prevailed. Taribay was captured and imprisoned in Alexandria, and Barsbay now planned to ascend the throne himself. After the Viceroy of Damascus, who had come to Cairo, and the other emirs had expressed their support for Barsbay, Sultan al-Salih Muhammad III. two days later, on April 1, 1422, deposed. He then lived with his mother in one of the sultan's palaces for a few years without any restrictions and even without guarding, then he was relocated to the Cairo citadel and married to the daughter of the military commander-in-chief. There he died of the plague on March 24, 1430 at the age of about 20.
