Asada is a small impact crater on the northern edge of Mare Fecunditatis , northeast of Taruntius crater and in a direct line north of Anville .
Asada is bowl-shaped and has a small central crater floor.
Before it was given its own name by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1976 , it was referred to as 'Taruntius A'.
