Asbjørn Riis
Asbjørn "Bear" Riis (born July 28, 1957 in Nykøbing Mors , Mors , Denmark ) is a Danish wrestler , film actor and bodybuilder .
Life
Asbjørn Riis was born on the Danish island of Mors . He became internationally known for the role of the 10th warrior Halga in the film The 13th Warrior , starring Antonio Banderas . He has also worked as a television presenter since the 1990s , where he presented WWF and WCW on the Danish TV channel TV3 . Riis created his stage name "The Great Danish Bear" in 1991, which is his image to this day.
He is also known as a bodybuilder and model and also runs a school for professional wrestling , which is the only one in Denmark .
He is a good friend of the actors and bodybuilders Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sven-Ole Thorsen . He has 4 sons and one of them, Klaus Myren Riis , is now also a wrestler after being trained by his father.
