The Azerbaijani College of Officers ( Azerbaijani Heydər Əliyev adına Azərbaycan Ali Hərbi Məktəbi ), with the honorary name Geidar Aliyev , serves the Republic of Azerbaijan as a training center for military command personnel ( ensigns , officers ) for the armed forces of the country ( Azerbaijani, Baku Azəlıvcan .

History of the educational institution

The tradition of this officer of Applied Sciences (OHS) dates back to the year 1920, when this first at the "Red combat school for commanders" ( Russian Сборное Красное Комсоставовское Училище ) and later at the "First Azerbaijani War College" ( Russian Первая Азербайджанская Военная Школа ) special Courses for training commanders were carried out. In the following years the name of the school was changed several times. In 1924, these military educational institution was named "Transcaucasian preparatory military school RKKA" ( Russian Закавказская Военно-Подготовительная Школа ЗВПШ ) and the prototype of the Suvorov cadet schools was (named after AV Suvorov ) of the entire Soviet Union. As early as November 1930, a reorganization took place with the aim of creating a "medium-sized military educational institution". This is how the "Baku Infantry School for Commanders" ( Russian: Бакинская Пехотная Школа Комсостав им. Оржонекидзе ) with the honorary name " GK Ordzhonikidze " was created. The duration of the training was set at three years. Then the name was slightly changed to "Baku Infantry School".
