Ash Island is a wooded island in the River Thames in England . It lies within the Molesey Lock weir on the Greater London border . The island is 25 m downstream from Tagg's Island .

Ash Islands Post town is East Molesey (KT8) and administratively the island belongs to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames .

The main weir is at the downstream end of the island and connects to the lock. The second weir is at the top of the island. As a result, there is a difference of several feet in the water level around the island.
