Ashibi

Ashibi ( Japanese 馬 酔 木 , dt. "Lavender heather") is the title of two Japanese magazines.

Ashibi (Tanka magazine)

The Tanka magazine Ashibi appeared from 1903 to 1908 and was the magazine of the Negishi Tanka community around Itō Sachio as the central figure. Also Nagatsuka Takashi , Shimaki Akahiko and Mokichi Saitō contributed to the magazine, whose style at Man'yōshū oriented. Akane and Araragi were succeeded by the magazine .

Ashibi (haiku magazine)

The haiku magazine Ashibi was published by Mizuhara Shūōshi and was renamed in 1928 from the Hamayumi magazine ( 破 魔弓 , a Hamayumi is a bow to drive away evil spirits).

The 1000th edition was published in June 2007.
