Elisabeth Naske

Elisabeth Naske (born April 5, 1963 in Wiesbaden ) is an Austrian composer and cellist.

Education and career

Elisabeth Naske studied violoncello with Heidi Litschauer at the Mozarteum Salzburg and graduated in 1983 with a teaching diploma. From 1984 to 1987 she continued her education up to the concert readiness diploma at the Basel Conservatory in the concert class of Thomas Demenga and then completed various master classes.

From 1988 to 1990 Elisabeth Naske was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado , Václav Neumann and others, after which she played regularly in several chamber orchestras. In 1993 Elisabeth Naske founded the Pascal Trio together with Diane Pascal and Claudia Hofert . From 1998 to 2003 Elisabeth Naske studied composition with the cellist Tristan Schulze , with whom she also designed joint programs from 1999 to 2001 as a duo partner.
