Asia film festival
The Asia Filmfest is an international film festival in Munich .
General
The Asia Filmfest takes place in the Mathäser Filmpalast and in the Gloria Palast in Munich. Most of the films are German premieres, some are European or world premieres. Mainly film productions from China , Hong Kong , Japan , South Korea , Thailand and Taiwan take part. All films are shown in their original language with German or English subtitles. So far over 50,000 visitors have participated.
In 2005, Gordon Liu and Angeles Woo, the daughter of John Woo , were among the guests.
history
The Asia Filmfest was founded in 2004 in cooperation with the KINOPOLIS Group and is the largest Asian film festival in Germany. After a break from 2010 to 2011, the 2012 festival took place again from October 31 to November 7.
