biography
Gordon Liu's parents moved to Hong Kong shortly after he was born . As a teenager, he allegedly skipped school to practice Hung-Gar- Kung-Fu. His parents didn't know about it. He trained with Liu Charn , a student of Lin Shi Rong , who was himself a direct student of Wong Fei Hung . His teacher later adopted him. As an adopted son, he took the name Lau Kar Fei .
Quentin Tarantino was a longtime fan of Liu and had long hoped that he would find a suitable role for him in one of his films. He found this with the cast as Johnny Mo and Pai Mei in his Kill Bill films. Since then, interest in Liu has increased again, especially for Chinese television productions.
