The FK Presnja Moscow ( Russian Футбольный клуб Пресня Москва ) is a former Russian football club from the Presnensky district of Moscow . The club, founded in 1978, withdrew from the operation of the Russian third division during the 2006 season and subsequently disbanded. Under the names Presnja Moscow, Asmaral Moscow ( Асмарал Москва ) and Krasnaja Presnja Moscow ( Красная Пресня Москва ) he played continuously in the top three leagues of the Soviet Union and Russia from its establishment until 1996, mostly in the third division; In 1992 and 1993, however, two years in the top division of Russia . The greatest success was a seventh place in the first championship of Russia after independence.

In 1978 the club was founded as Krasnaya Presnja (from Krasnaya = ' red ' and the colloquial name of the district named after the river Presnja of the same name ). The name of one of the original Spartak Moscow teams was taken up again, but there was no further connection. The club played in the second division called third tier of the Soviet game system and had a good reputation for training young players. This was due in particular to the excellent coaches: Oleg Romanzew , later eight-time champion with Spartak Moscow, coached the club in the 80s.

When the club was relegated from the third and lowest semi-professional division in 1990, the team was sold to a British-Iraqi investor who renamed it Asmaral after his company . Because of its considerable investments in new players, the club was twice in a row champions in the respective league and qualified for the first season of the new Russian league , where the club was able to achieve seventh place straight away. The second season, on the other hand, was disastrous as the last with a ten point gap to a non-relegation place and a rapid crash into the amateur classes began; After two years in the second Russian division, he was relegated to the third division in 1995 and moved to the amateur area the next year .

Due to an expansion of the third league level by further seasons, the club was again third class in 1998, but immediately rose again. After another season in the amateur field, the club stopped playing for one year in 2000, but this was reactivated in 2001.

2004 succeeded the renewed promotion to the third division, but the club went into bankruptcy in the middle of 2006.
