Aspelt ( Luxembourgish : Uespelt ) is a place in the south of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg ; he belongs to the municipality of Frisingen an der Gander .
Aspelt is the birthplace of Peter von Aspelt (around 1245-1320), Bishop of Basel and Archbishop of Mainz .
