Assimpao ( Arabic آسیمپائو, also: Marahabé , Maraharé  ??) is a place on the island of Anjouan in the island state of Comoros in the Indian Ocean . In 1991 there were 1112 inhabitants.

Assimpao is located on the south coast of the western foothills of Anjouan on the Mro Assimpao river . The closest localities are Chitsangachélé and Maraharé .
