The Assistance Coesfeld - since 2000 Team Heidifoto Coesfeld - is a table tennis club from Coesfeld . He became known nationwide through his women's team, which played in the first division from 1998 to 2002 .

Club history

Under manager Achim Funk, the Assistance Coesfeld association set itself the goal of reaching the first women's division in the 1990s. From 1994 to 1996 the team played in the Regionalliga and then rose to the 2nd Bundesliga North. You strengthened yourself with Ding Yaping and came in fifth. With the help of Nicole Struse , Alessia Arisi , Alexandra Scheld and Bethan Daunton as well as Elke Pangert , who has been a member of the club since 1994 , she was promoted to the upper house in 1998. Renáta Štrbíková (CSR) and Ekaterina Edel replaced the migrated Alessia Arisi and Bethan Daunton and finished sixth in this line-up and eighth in 1999/2000. In 2000 the club was renamed Team Heidifoto Coesfeld , in the following season 2000/01 the team came in sixth and then eighth. At the end of this 2001/02 season, the club pulled the team back to the league for financial reasons.
