The Scorpions de Mulhouse (official name: Association pour le Développement du Hockey Mulhousien ) are a French ice hockey team from Mulhouse , which was founded in 2005 and currently plays in the Ligue Magnus .

history

The Association pour le Développement du Hockey Mulhousien was founded in 2005 after its predecessor, the Hockey Club de Mulhouse , went bankrupt after winning the French championship . The new Scorpions de Mulhouse had to start their fresh start in the fourth division Division 3 . In the years 2008 and 2009 the direct march through to the second class Division 1 succeeded . In the 2011/12 season, the team finally rose to the Ligue Magnus , which is the first time in seven years that a team from Mulhouse is represented in the top French ice hockey division.
