Assol (singer)

Assol ( Russian / Ukrainian Ассоль , born July 4, 1994 in Donetsk , Ukraine ; real name Ukrainian Катерина Ігорівна Гуменюк , German transcription Kateryna Ihorivna Humenjuk ) is a Ukrainian singer and actress .

Life

Assol grew up in Donetsk . Her father Ihor Humenjuk was an advisor to the former Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych . At the age of 3 she joined the Donetsk children's ensemble Kraplynky ( Краплинки , German droplets ). At the age of 6 she recorded her first music video with the title Alyje parussa ( Алые паруса , German purple sails ). The song deals with the subject of the novel of the same name by Alexander Grin . She was so impressed by this story that she chose the name of the main character, the girl Assol , as her stage name.

In 2000, her first CD, Alyje parussa , was released, which included the song Moja mama ( Моя мама , Meine Mama ), which reached number 2 in the Russian hit parade. This makes her the youngest singer to ever release a CD album.

She took part in various national and international competitions and won several prizes. So she took first place in the children compared with the 2000 Slavyansky Bazaar u Wizebsku (White Russian. Славянскі Базар у Віцебску , Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk ) and received 2005 Golden barrel organ .

In 2004 she played the 10-year-old niece Anna Leopoldowna of Tsarina Anna Ivanovna in the film Wiwat, Anna Ioannovna! ( Виват, Анна Иоанновна! ).

She has been studying law in Kiev since 2010 .
