Astana Tigers ( Russian Тигры Астана ) is a former Kazakh basketball club from what is now Nur-Sultan . He played in the Kazakh National League.

The association was founded in 2000. In the 2009/2010 season, the Astana Tigers took first place in the National League among five basketball clubs. The team was also champions in the previous five seasons. In total, the Astana Tigers have won the Kazakh championship six times. The team took fifth place in the 21st FIBA Asia Champions Cup.

From the 2011/2012 season the club was renamed so that the successor team can play in the VTB United League , an international professional league. About the successor club see under BC Astana .
