Astragalus epiglottis is a plant from the family of legumes (Fabaceae).

features

Astragalus epiglottis is an annual stem therophyte that reaches a height of 5 to 25 centimeters. The leaves are 20 to 40 millimeters in size and pinnate unpaired. The 11 to 21 feathers are densely pubescent. The inflorescence is a dense, more or less round grape towered over by the leaves. The flag is yellow and 3 millimeters tall. The pods are flattened and triangular-egg-shaped.

The flowering period extends from March to April.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 16.

Occurrence

The species occurs in the southern Mediterranean . It grows on Karpathos on dry wasteland.
