Astraios ( Greek  Ἀστραῖος ; Latinized Astraeus ) is a figure in Greek mythology . Astraios is a titan and the god of the dusk .

In Hesiod's theogony and in the library of Apollodorus , Astraios is the son of the goddess Eurybia and the titans Kreios . As the son of the Kreios, he is also a Titan himself . With his wife Eos (goddess of the dawn) he fathered the four wind deities, the Anemoi, according to Greek ideas . These are Boreas (north wind), Euros (south-east wind), Zephyr (west wind) and Notos (south wind). He also begat the morning star and other stars. At Ovid the winches are calledAstraei fratres , called "brothers of Astraios".
