Astrid Krog jibe

Astrid Krog Halse (born January 25, 1914 in Meldal ; † February 7, 2007 in Trondheim ) was a Norwegian poet and teacher who was known for her poems in the dialect.

Astrid Krog Halse grew up in a family of teachers. She wrote her poems preferably in the dialect of Meldal in Sør-Trøndelag , including her first collection of poems, Marimesse, in 1961. She published a total of seven volumes. Some of Astrid Krog Halse's lyrics were also set to music by the Norwegian rock band Gåte . In 1998 she received the culture award of the Meldal municipality.
