Astrid Schwabe

Astrid Schwabe (* 1977 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German historian .

Life

Schwabe studied applied cultural sciences from 1997 to 2004 at the University of Lüneburg with an MA. From 2005 to 2011 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Contemporary and Regional History (IZRG) at the European University of Flensburg (including in the German-Danish EU- INTERREG -IIIA project Virtual Museum ). From 2011 to 2013 she worked as a freelance academic writer. In 2012 she was with a dissertation on "Historical learning on the World Wide Web" to Dr. phil. PhD at the University of Flensburg . From April 2013 to March 2016, she was a research assistant at the Department of History and History Didactics at the European University of Flensburg. Since April 2016, she has been teaching as a junior professor for public history and historical learning in general subjects at the European University of Flensburg.

Her research areas are public history / extracurricular history culture in theory, analysis and pragmatics, historical learning in, with and through digital (n) media, historical learning in subject teaching and the latest regional history including its communication.
