criticism

The Laut.de e-zine rated At.Long.Last.A $ AP with four out of a possible five points. From the point of view of the editor Thomas Haas, Rocky moves with his second album " quite deliberately out of his comfort zone, in which his label colleague Ferg has long outstripped his position as Trap Lord ". The music works “ through vibes, atmosphere and charisma. “On the other hand, Rocky said“ apart from Christian-spiritual excursions ('Holy Ghost'), hedonism homage and all sorts of women’s stories, sometimes with a wink ('Jukebox Joints'), in other places quite disrespectful (“Better Things”), [... ] still very little ”to tell. Haas finds praise for the productions of the “ sample-based record. “The guest contributions by Lil Wayne, Mos Def, UGK and Joe Fox, who has the“ greatest influence ”on At.Long.Last.A $ AP , are also highlighted positively.

Leaderboard

In the list of the best “Hip Hop Albums of the Year” 2015 by Laut.de, At.Long.Last.A $ AP was placed third. From the editors' point of view, At.Long.Last.A $ APfocuses consistently on an overall artistic concept apart from all off-the-shelf productions. “Here,“ among eerily atmospheric songs like 'L $ D' there are heaps of boards dripping with style like 'Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2' or 'Electric Body'.
