LONG.LIVE.A $ AP could place one reached the US album charts. In the first week, 139,000 units of the publication were sold. In Canada, too, the album debuted at number 1 . A $ AP Rocky ranked 7th in the top 10 of the British album charts. Long.Live.A $ AP was also able to position itself in German-speaking countries. The album reached number 31 in the German, number 62 in the Austrian and number 9 in the Swiss charts.

criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated A $ AP Rocky's debut album with four out of a possible five points. In the review, the editor Dani Fromm praised the fact that Rocky made it all right for many, " but at the same time nowhere in favor of himself ". This is “ a real feat. “On the album, the rapper indulged in his soft spot for grime and especially for the sluggish, dripping screw sound from the dirty south. “To get closer to mainstream listeners, elements like dusty boom-bap beats, strings and piano were incorporated into the music.
