Ata Yamrali (born July 5, 1982 in Kabul ) is an Afghan national football player . He spent most of his football career in Germany.

Club career

Yamrali's previous clubs were Holstein Quickborn , TSV Sasel , the amateurs of FC St. Pauli and ASV Bergedorf 85 . In January 2008 he moved to Niendorfer TSV for a year and a half . In the 2009/10 season he played for Hamburg's upper division Wedeler TSV . He then returned to TSV Sasel, with whom he was promoted to the league in 2011 and relegated again a year later. From 2012 to 2014 he was under contract with VfL 93 Hamburg .

National team

The midfielder made his debut for the Afghan national team against Syria on October 8, 2007 . In the first leg, the team lost 3-0 (0-0), the second leg also lost the Afghan national team; as a clear outsider they lost 1: 2 (1: 1). Yamrali scored his first goal against Kyrgyzstan on May 7, 2008, leading the team to victory. So far he has played 12 games for the Afghan national soccer team and scored three goals.
