Atheretic is a Canadian technical and brutal death metal band from Montreal that was formed in 1999.

history

The band was founded in 1999 by three music students who had just graduated from music school. In the same year they recorded their first demo. They released their debut album Adhesion, Aversion ... in 2001 via Neoblast Records . Thereby they increased their popularity and played concerts all over the province.

In 2003 the singer left the band due to musical differences, although new songs had already been completed. The band was looking for a new singer and found him in March 2004. This was followed by a few concerts, where old and new material were played equally. After that, the band recorded the next album called Apocalyptic Nature Fury under the direction of Jean-François Dagenais ( Kataklysm , Malevolent Creation , Misery Index ).

The album was released in 2006 through Galy Records .

style

The band plays extremely aggressive technical death metal. The speed of the complex, technically demanding pieces is usually kept high. Atheretic is compared to other bands in the genre such as Cryptopsy or Necrophagist .
