The Atikonak Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .
The heavily indented lake is located on a plateau in the central southeast of the Labrador Peninsula . It covers an area of 358 km², including islands, the total area is 431 km². The lake is traversed by the Atikonak River in a northerly direction and drained to the Ossokmanuan Reservoir 40 km away . Another important tributary is the Kepimits River , which flows from Lac Joseph to the west to Atikonak Lake. The catchment area of the lake covers around 15,000 km². The water level is around 495 m .
