Atjong Tio Purwanto (born October 17, 1991 ) is an Indonesian athlete who specializes in the obstacle course .

Athletic career

Atjong Tio Purwanto gained his first international experience in 2015 when he won the bronze medal behind the Philippine Christopher Ulboc Jr. and Phạm Tiến Sản from Vietnam at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore in 9: 06.41 minutes . He then reached twelfth place in the Military World Games in Mungyeon, South Korea, in 9: 09.45 minutes. Two years later he won the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur in 9: 03.94 min and in 2018 he finished eleventh at the Asian Games in Jakarta with a new national record of 8: 54.32 min. In 2019 he finished 14th at the World Military Games in Wuhan after 9: 03.65 minutes and then won the bronze medal behind the Vietnamese Đỗ Quốc Luật and Nguyễn Trung Cường at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 9: 10.02 minutes .
