The Atka Ice Dome ( Norwegian Atkakuppelen ) is an ice dome on the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises up in the inner part of Atka Bay in the Ekström Ice Shelf .
The ice dome is named after the icebreaker USS Atka , which was used for the United States Navy several times in the Antarctic.
