The Sickla IF is established in 1938 a Swedish sports club from Nacka , the best known for its hockey department was known.

history

The association was founded in 1938. Since many association members worked for Atlas Diesel , the name Atlas Diesels IF was chosen . When the company changed its name to Atlas Copco in 1956, the sports club followed suit. The club's ice hockey department took part several times in the 1940s and 1950s in the Swedish championship, which was then still held in cup mode, as well as in Division 1 , which was still the highest Swedish league at the time.

In 1976, the club's ice hockey department merged with the hockey departments of Nacka SK and Skuru IK . The merger club initially played under the name NSA-76 , but changed the name to Nacka HK in 1980.

Since the sports club had hardly any connections to the Atlas Copco group in the meantime, the name was changed to Sickla IF in February 2008 . This led to the fact that the ski department broke away from the club and is now active as Atlas Copco IF Skidor.
