Attila Csörgő (born March 29, 1965 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian object artist. He lives and works in Warsaw.

Life

Csörgő studied from 1988 to 1994 at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts ( Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem ) and in 1993 at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam . He got a Gyula Derkovits scholarship. Csörgö showed his work in solo exhibitions in 2008 at the Museum Folkwang in Essen and in 2011 at the Vienna Secession , at the Hamburger Kunsthalle and in 2012/13 at the Kunsthalle Mainz . He was a participant in the 22nd São Paulo Biennale in 1994  , the Venice Biennale in 1999 , the Istanbul Biennale in 2003 and the Sydney Biennale in 2008 . Csörgő was a participant of the dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel .

Awards

In 1998 he received the János Smohay Prize, in 2001 the Mihály Munkácsy Prize and in 2008 the main prize of the 4th  Nam June Paik Award .
