The Attlee Glacier is a 13 km long glacier on the Foyn coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from a step in the terrain in an east-southeast direction into the head end of Cabinet Inlet , which it reaches north of the confluence of the Bevin Glacier .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) mapped it in December 1947 based on its own measurements. Aerial photographs were taken at the same time during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The FIDS named the glacier after the British politician Clement Attlee (1883-1967), Winston Churchill's deputy in his war cabinet and from 1945 to 1951 British Prime Minister .
