Aubelin Jolicoeur
Aubelin Jolicoeur (born April 30, 1924 in Jacmel ; † February 14, 2005 ibid) was a Haitian columnist and was best known for Graham Greene's novel The Hour of the Comedians .
In the 1950s, Jolicoeur made a name for himself as a gossip columnist. He wrote about celebrities from the show business of the United States who have been visiting Haiti vacation. In Graham Greene's novel The Comedians' Hour , he appears as Petit Pierre. By publishing the novel, Jolicoeur claims to be in mortal danger, as the dictator François Duvalier ( Papa Doc ) ruled Haiti in the 1960s . In the late 1980s he was briefly Minister of Information for Haiti.
