coat of arms
The coat of arms of Micheldorf has the following blazon : "In green an oblique left golden, black-backed grate, accompanied above by a golden hop vine with a leaf and two umbels, below by a golden ear growing parallel to the grate."
The municipality's coat of arms and flag were awarded on December 6, 1994. The flag is green and yellow with an incorporated coat of arms.
The grate symbolizes the parish patron Laurentius , who, according to legend, was martyred on a grate. The hops cone, which alludes to the traditional brewery, has been adopted from the coat of arms that led the municipality of Micheldorf from 1963 to its incorporation in Friesach in 1973. The cereal ear stands for cultivation in the municipality as well as for the health resort in Agathenhof, where, among other things, the Mayr cure with cereal products is used.
