Audi A2H2
The Audi A2H2 is on the Audi A2 -based prototype of a hydrogen - fuel cell vehicle , which was presented of 2004.
The vehicle runs on hydrogen, which is stored in pressure tanks at 350 bar. A polymer electrolyte fuel cell with an output of 66 kW supplies the energy for an electric motor with 110 kW (150 PS). This high peak performance is achieved by a 38 kW NiMH battery that serves as a buffer. The mileage is in the usual range of hydrogen vehicles of this generation: the range with three pressurized gas tanks (1.8 kg at 350 bar) is approx. 220 km and the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 10 s. The top speed is 175 km / h, which is typical for series production.
