The Auerswald GmbH & Co. KG , located in the district Schandelah of Cremlingen is a manufacturer of products in the field of telecommunications . The main focus is on telephone systems for SMEs and IP telephony .

history

In 1960, Harro Auerswald laid the foundation stone for today's company. At that time, transformers, electromagnets and measuring devices were among the company's first products. Later, the employees dealt with plastics technology and the development of microprocessor-controlled devices.

At the beginning of the 1980s a GmbH & Co. KG was founded and the son Gerhard Auerswald took over the reins. A milestone in the company's history shortly afterwards was the development of the ETS-3216 telephone system, which at the time had exceptional performance features: It was the first telephone system in the compact systems market that could be completely configured with a PC. At that time (1993) many users dismissed it as a gimmick, but this is standard today.

With the rapid spread of ISDN telephone connections, the need for corresponding telephone systems also increased. In 1999 the COMmander product family and the matching system telephones for the business segment were presented.

Since October 2014, son Christian Auerswald has also been at his father's side as managing director. Auerswald is now an established manufacturer of compact and modular telephone systems for ISDN , DSL , VoIP and analog networks and has a market share of around 20%.

The company is committed to promotion and development. There has been a long-term cooperation with the TU Braunschweig . Among other things, work was carried out with the Institute for Telecommunications on a technology for consistently high telephone voice quality through artificial voice bandwidth expansion. This project received the IHK technology transfer award in 2014 . Furthermore, Auerswald was awarded the seal “Innovative through research” by the Stifterverband in May 2016 . All products are developed by Auerswald itself and produced in Schandelah . For a time, the production of the system telephones was in China, due to the high coordination effort, the high storage quantities, the difficult to assess quality and similar disadvantages, the production was relocated to Germany. This achieves high and uniform quality and greater flexibility.

Products

The product portfolio ranges from the ICT system for 6 participants to the professional system for connecting a total of 120 participants. The systems COMpact 4000, COMpact 5000 / 5000R and COMmander 6000 / 6000R / 6000RX have been awarded the Blue Angel . Thanks to their hybrid capability, the COMfortel IP telephones can be operated as IP system telephones on an Auerswald ITK system or as SIP telephones on an IP Centrex solution or soft PBX.

The range is supplemented by SIP telephones, IP-DECT multi-cell systems, system telephones (IP and ISDN) and door intercoms.
