On the Breitenlohe
Auf der Breitenlohe (also broad Loh ) is a field name in the north of the Hornberg in the west of Friedensdorf . At the highest point, a 306 m high nameless hill, there is a war memorial. In the south of the hill is the new cemetery of Friedensdorf with a chapel.
War memorial
The war memorial commemorates the people from Friedensdorf who fell in World War II . At the highest point of the Breiten Loh there is a stone cross about five meters high. Around the cross is a stone ring on which there are six metal plaques with the names of the deceased.
