The reconnaissance force is a mobile and partially mechanized type of weapon . The troops are equipped with wheeled vehicles and wheeled armored vehicles, and in the past also with tank destroyers and armored personnel carriers (mechanized reconnaissance).

The reconnaissance force is an elite group of the armed forces, which is why voluntary reports are used whenever possible for this type of weapon. In contrast to most units of the Jäger troops (exceptions here are armored armored and airborne units of the Jäger troops), i.e. the normal infantry, the scouts are fully motorized in order to keep their radius of action as large as possible and the units mobile.

The basic training for the elite soldiers of the army reconnaissance is tougher and more demanding than for most other branches of the armed forces, with the exception of course for the hunting command, which is the special military unit of the army and with its intensely trained special soldiers for special purposes also to a large extent more and different tasks has to meet.

In addition to basic training, the reconnaissance officers of the armed forces receive additional training, including in house-to-house combat, night fighting, infiltration into enemy territory, close combat, explosive devices and CRC ( crowd and riot control ).
