Clearance rate
The clearance rate (AQ) is the ratio of the cases cleared up to the cases registered by the police .
Germany
In Germany, the clear-up rate for criminal offenses in the reporting period, which is usually one year, is determined using the police crime statistics (PKS). Clarified means that, according to the police's assessment, a suspect with sufficient suspicion has been identified, regardless of whether the suspect is being charged or convicted by the judiciary. Unconsidered remains unreported .
The police recording of cases from the previous year makes clear-up rates above 100% possible.
Control offenses have a high detection rate, but also a large number of unreported cases .
