Aufschwung Ost is a SimCity- style computer game by the German software developer Sunflowers GmbH , which was published in 1993. The game is an economic simulation and is set in the 1990s. It is about the German reunification . The player takes on the role of a politician and has to cope with the difficulties of bringing the economically ruined East into shape.
Gameplay
The aim of the game is to rebuild East Germany economically after the fall of the Berlin Wall and at the same time ensure the satisfaction of the population. To do this, the player must build and maintain appropriate infrastructures in the new federal states and in the cities there. In addition, the income and expenditure of the federal states and cities can be adjusted. A number of unexpected events, such as forest fires or faults in technical systems, influence the course of the game.
