Moment. Aesthetica, Philosophica, Polemica was a German literary magazine published between 1955 and 1961 by Max Bense . The aim should be the publication of texts by young, left-wing and international authors.

At the moment there were articles u. a. from:

From the second year onwards, the magazine had the subtitle “Magazine for Current Philosophy, Aesthetics and Polemics”. The magazine was published quarterly, with a supplement volume being published for each year:

  • Year 1 (1955): Arno Schmidt: Kosmas or Vom Berge des Nordens
  • Year 2 (1956): Max Bense: Descartes and the consequences
  • Year 3 (1958): Francis Ponge: Introduction to the pebble with drawings by Hannelore Bendixen-Busse

The last two volumes were published with the subtitle “Zeitschrift für Tendenz und Experiment” by Verlag der Moment, Siegen. In 1961 the magazine was discontinued. The first 3 years are available as reprints.
