In the east, the Rosenauviertel is bounded by the Augsburg main train station and its tracks to the north. The western border to the districts of Pfersee – Nord and Pfersee – Süd forms the Wertach .

origin of the name

"Rosenau" is a field name in Augsburg, derived from the "Rössen", former water arms of the Wertach . "Au" (also " Flussaue ") refers to a lowland along a stream or river, characterized by the changing high and low water levels. The Rosenaustadion , located next to the Wertach, also got its name.
