August Amrhein

August Amrhein (born August 26, 1847 in Weibersbrunn , † April 18, 1934 in Giebelstadt ) was a Catholic clergyman and church and homeland researcher. Numerous treatises on the history of the Würzburg and Bamberg monasteries come from Amrhein .

Amrhein was a doctor of theology and philosophy, both rights and political science. On August 5, 1871, he was ordained a priest . From April 1904 to April 1932 he held the parish office in Eßfeld . He spent the last two years of his life in the Sable Castle of Giebelstadt.
