Ewald August König

Ewald August König , pseudonyms Ernst Kaiser and C. Reinfels (born August 22, 1833 in Barmen (now part of Wuppertal ), † March 9, 1888 in Cologne ) was a German writer and businessman .

Life

August Ewald König is one of the first modern crime novelists in Germany. In his work he also dealt with current socio-political issues, for example in 1871 he wrote a thousand-page novel about the Paris Commune and its suppression by French government troops.
