August Friedrich Schwarz

August Friedrich Schwarz (born June 21, 1852 in Nuremberg ; † December 6, 1915 there ) was a German botanist .

Life

He was born the son of Konrad Schwarz (1817–1895). At the Realgymnasium Nürnberg he founded a "Botanical Association" together with students. He later studied at the veterinary school in Munich. He served first as a volunteer for a year, and later as a veterinarian for another year. On June 26, 1914, Schwarz retired from the army. However, it was reactivated again due to the First World War .

In addition to local history and geology , Schwarz was primarily concerned with veterinary medicine and floristry .
